Winter Residency Program

This winter, Terra Rosa opens for a longer stay.

You live here, you work here, you learn here, for a stretch of the cold season when the community turns inward and the pace slows down enough to actually feel it.

January 7 – April 7
A season on the land.

What it is

Winter Residency sits between our two existing offers - the freedom of Stay With Us and the structure of the Queer Ashram - built specifically for the winter months, when the land asks for less performing and more presence.

At its core, this is about community — showing up daily, sharing meals, sharing work, being part of a house that's actually running, not just visiting one. Alongside that, there's a focused, supported space to actually work on the book, the screenplay, the app, whatever's been waiting.

What your month includes

🏠 A bed in a shared room in the heart of the community

🍽️ Three vegetarian and plant-based meals a day, eaten together

🌿 Daily hands-on work: cooking, cleaning, gardening, building, creating

📚 An ongoing learning journey woven into daily life: community building, self-awareness, ecology, shadow work, compassionate communication, and more

🤝 Others to share, laugh, cry, and grow with

🧘 Weekly practices: yoga, forest walks, evening circles

🌈 A space to be yourself. Queerness here is honored, embodied, and woven into the fabric of community life

All of this for €650 for the full month.

You get a bed, three meals a day, a rhythm to hold onto, and a place inside a queer-centered community that's actually running a farmhouse, not just talking about one. In exchange, you put in real hours, cooking, cleaning, and land work. How many hours is your choice, and it changes what you pay.

This isn't a retreat. Nobody's going to program your day for you or leave you completely alone with it either. It's somewhere in between - a season of contributing to a real, working community.

Mornings start slow and warm - coffee, sometimes frost on the ground outside, a shared breakfast. Some days we start with a yoga practice. A morning circle to see how everyone is feeling, and where the day's work is needed. Then a few hours of hands-on work: kitchen, cleaning, gardening, building, whatever the land and the house need that week.

Afternoons open up. Read by the fire, walk the land, work on your own things. Some evenings there's a shared practice, a workshop, or a learning circle. Every evening there's dinner together. After that, whatever the group wants - a film, a game, or just quiet. We create the rhythm together.

No two days are identical, but the shape repeats: work, rest, connection, repeat.

Three months, three themes

The season moves through three chapters, each with its own focus running through the workshops and shared practices — while daily life, work shifts, and your own projects continue underneath all three.

Month 1 — January 7 to February 7:
🎨 Arts & Crafts Hands-on making. Building, creating, painting, experiencing, working with what's around you.

🔮 Month 2 — February 7 to March 7:
Community exploration. Circles built around thought, discussion, and reflection.

Month 3 — March 7 to April 7:
🧘‍♂️ Yoga & Meditation Turning inward. Practice, stillness, and the body, as winter starts to loosen into spring.

You're welcome to join for one month, two, or the full season.

Two tracks:
pick your level of involvement

Every participant contributes to the community through practical work — this isn't a hotel stay. What changes between the two tracks is how much of your time goes into that work, and what you pay for the stay.

💛🍁 Standard Track 🍁💛
10 hours a week of community practices per week, split across a few shifts - kitchen, cleaning, general upkeep. You choose when, within the week's rhythm. This is the track for people who still have a job to hold, a project to finish, a book to write, or simply want the freedom and the time to slow down and just be. You show up for your hours, and the rest of your time is yours.

Single person in a shared 4 person room

Weekly €350 / Monthly €950

Single person in a shared twin room

Weekly €450 / Monthly €1250

Single person in a private room

Weekly €650 / Monthly €1750

🌠🫶🏽 Intensive Track 🫶🏽🌠
25 hours a week. This is for people who want to go deeper into what community life actually asks of you - showing up every day, taking care of the place and of each other, not as a task on the side but as the shape of your days. In exchange, you pay less than the Standard rate.

Single person in a shared 4 person room

Weekly €245 / Monthly €575

Single person in a shared twin room

Weekly €325 / Monthly €875

Single person in a private room

Weekly €450 / Monthly €1250

(Both tracks include the same room, meals, and community access - the difference is entirely in hours contributed and price.)

Alongside the work, the week holds its own structure: scheduled workshops, sharing circles, and community practices that everyone's part of. But it's not filled in end to end — there's real room left open, for improvisation, and for whatever the community itself brings up that week.
