Living Community, not just talking about it
QUEER GARDENS, led by Wende Brand, a biodynamic farmer and queer gardener, is your invitation to step into the living heart of Terra Rosa, gain new knowledge, and experience life in an intentional Community. For more info and registration, please book a discovery call.
Community Members receive special discounts
Exploring queer ecology, an approach to land and life that honors interdependence, cycles, and the beauty of imperfection. Mornings focus on theory, exploring ecological, spiritual, and philosophical perspectives, while afternoons bring these ideas to life through practical work in the garden. We’ll root our shared values of regeneration, inclusion, and love for the land, culminating in a joyful Community Weekend of connection and celebration.
Day 1 – Arrival & Opening
15:00 – Arrival and landing in the space
17:00 – Welcome Circle: meeting the group and facilitators, introduction to the week, the program, and to Terra Rosa
19:30 – Dinner
20:30 – Opening Workshop: connecting to the group and the people we will share the week with.
Day 2 – Reading the Landscape
Morning: What Do You See? Learning to read the land: the movement of water, the play of light, the language of plants, and the invisible patterns of energy and life.
Afternoon: Walking the terrain. We reflect on the spot where we will begin the first Garden of Eden at Terra Rosa. We observe, listen, and sense — not to decide, but to receive the place.
Day 3 – The Foundation of Fertility
Morning: Healthy Soil, Healthy Life. Exploring the living world beneath our feet — soil as a web of relationships and transformation. Composting, fertility, and the cycles of death and rebirth.
Afternoon: Preparing the soil. Clearing, and nurturing the ground. Creating compost and understanding how to feed the earth so she can feed us.
Day 4 – The Garden of Eden
Morning: Designing for Diversity. Exploring the principles of queer ecology and regenerative design. How can a garden reflect our values — inclusion, balance, interconnection, and play?
Afternoon: Design and creation of Terra Rosa’s vegetable garden. Continuing the physical work and beginning the creation of the first Garden of Eden, where beauty, usefulness, and wildness coexist.
Day 5 – Closing the Circle and opening the community weekend
After a week of creation and connection, Terra Rosa opens its gates to friends and extended community for a weekend of celebration, rest, and togetherness.
Morning: Integration circle. Reflection and gratitude. Sharing what has grown in us during the week - as individuals, as a group, and as part of Terra Rosa.
Afternoon: Experience community in action. Join the community kitchen to help prepare the shared Friday meal for everyone. Our group will take over the kitchen (with the help of our chef, of course). Nothing builds connection like cooking together!
Evening: Shared dinner followed by Terra Rosa’s famous Karaoke Night - laughter, music, and joy.
Day 6 – Rest, Reflection & Celebration
10:00 Yoga Practice
11:00 Brunch
14:00 Forest Hike & Reflection
A guided walk through the surrounding forest - exploring the larger ecosystem Terra Rosa is part of.
21:00 Saturday Night Party!
Day 7 – Closing & Departure
10:00 Yoga
11:00 Brunch
12:00 until 16:00 – Open afternoon to relax, connect, and slowly depart from the land.
Real Tools for Real Life
The week offers practical, interactive workshops focused on skills tied to the week’s theme, along with exploring group dynamics, decision making, and other real-life stuff that we need in community.
Deep Dives
We'll dive into the challenges (and joys!) of queer co-living with an open mind, exploring how to build trust, what makes groups sustainable in the long term, and how to navigate our differences.

Community Weekend
At the end of every week comes the WEEKEND! On the first weekend of each month, Terra Rosa opens its doors for a celebration filled with good vibes, music, and friends. Some weekends are chill, others are more party-oriented. Each month brings its own unique energy and style.
