Community Week
Every first week of the month
Experiencing Community
Community Week is an invitation to step into the living, breathing heart of Terra Rosa, and a chance to experience what community life feels and looks like. Each day offers hands-on opportunities to learn by doing—working alongside others, caring for the land, sharing skills, and joining workshops that combine practical learning with real-life practice. Each Community Week has a different theme, like Queer Gardens, Why Community?, Let's Make Art, or Building Stuff, giving space to deepen into what calls you. During the week, we’ll gain useful tools and deeper insights as we discover what it truly means to live, learn, and grow together in community. Or at least we hope so :)
Real Tools for Real Life
Community Week includes practical, interactive workshops focused on specific knowledge and skills relevant to the week’s theme. In addition, you’ll learn how to handle communication, decision-making, and group processes. You’ll get a clear sense of how visitors and long-term residents share space, meet core members of the community, learn how we balance our spiritual values with practical needs, and discover the tools we use to stay emotionally healthy—both on our own and together as a community.
Deep Dives
Our facilitated group sessions give space to explore what it means to show up, be seen, and stay connected. Together, we’ll look with curiosity at the joys and challenges of queer co-living. We’ll unpack questions like how to build trust with people you’re just meeting, what makes a group sustainable long-term, and how to navigate differences with grace and clarity. No topic is off-limits, and every voice matters.
Weekend
The first weekend of the month, at the end of every Community Week, Terra Rosa celebrates and opens its doors to friends, neighbors, and anyone curious to join for a weekend filled with good vibes, music, and chill hangouts for everyone to enjoy. Some weekends are more chill, some are more party-oriented, and one special PINK summer gathering. Each month brings its own unique energy and vibe, making every celebration fresh and surprising.
Now What?
We are trying to create the world we want to live in. We're not sure how it will go, but let's see. Will you join us?

Queer Gardens
This week is about reconnecting with the land and learning how queerness and nature are deeply linked. We’ll learn hands-on skills like planting, composting, harvesting, and caring for the soil, while following the rhythms of the land and the seasons. We’ll explore how natural systems are always changing and how to listen to the earth, to each other, and to what’s needed in the moment.
Why Community
What is community? What does it take to build and live in one? And why do it? With guidance from experienced community builders, we’ll explore these questions through workshops on communication, conflict, group decision-making, and emotional support—practicing how to show up fully, live together, and be part of something bigger.
Building Stuff Together
We’ve got a project. Maybe it’s a new outdoor shower or a bench overlooking the view. This week, we design and build something with our hands, from scratch. You’ll learn how to use tools, mix materials, plan as a group, and bring a shared vision to life. It’s physical, creative, and collaborative—and at the end of the week, something will be standing on this land that wasn’t there before, because you helped build it.
Let’s Make Art
Every week, we try something new—painting, dancing, sculpting, pottery, or maybe create a large art installation. You don’t need any experience, just a willingness to play and explore. We create together, inspired by each other and the natural world around us. Art here is about showing up, having fun, and making something that feels alive and real.
